Timothy Houle

• Technical Assistant

Tim graduated from the University of Surrey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, which included an industrial placement year working for a leading telecommunications company. He was awarded a PhD in optical communications and laser technology from the University of Bristol. He worked for several years in Japan, at a leading Osaka patent attorney practice, managing a team handling patent applications from a number of major Japanese electronic companies.

Tim is working towards qualification as a UK and European Patent Attorney and has been awarded his Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary College.

He has particular experience working with electronic and electromechanical inventions.

In his spare time Tim particularly enjoys photography and hiking.
