Madeline Picker graduated in 1989 from the University of Exeter with an honours degree in Physics and joined the patent profession in the same year, qualifying as a UK and European Patent Attorney in 1994.
Madeline has gained extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for clients in the semiconductor industry and also specializes in patent applications for software and communications products.
In 2005, following a long period working in private practice, Madeline joined Philips Intellectual Property and Standards where, most recently, she held the position of Senior Patent Attorney and Head of IP Administration. Her work included assisting in the evaluation of inventions, patents and patent applications primarily in the field of semiconductor products and technology. Her work also involved conducting risk assessments and providing infringement and validity opinions. In addition, she had a primary role in creating business processes for a new intellectual property department for the semiconductor business, which was divested in 2006.
Madeline joined Jenkins in 2007.
