Louis Trichard

Louis has degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and a PhD in the subject of wireless telecommunications and signal processing from the University of Sydney. He has since conducted post-doctoral research as a Fellow of Yokohama National University in Japan, where he led the Ultra Wideband Research Group in 4G telecommunications research, researching UWB receiver design and error control coding.
He has industrial experience in wireless modems using FPGA technology, radar installation, electrofishing, and timber drying airflow model simulation and is principal author of an impressive list of conference and journal papers, particularly on the subject of CDMA receivers and UWB Multiple-Access systems. He is currently working towards qualifying as a United Kingdom and European Patent Attorney.
Outside work, he enjoys marathon inline speed-skating, snowboarding, windsurfing, and baking bread.
